What problems should we pay attention to before and after using the die?


Many die-casting operators do not care about the maintenance and maintenance of moulds. In their eyes, they think that this is a matter of die repairmen and they have nothing to do with it. However, it is not so. It can be said that the fate of moulds is in the hands of die-casting operators. It has nothing to do with die repairmen. After all, you are the one who uses moulds. Therefore, the following points should be paid special attention to in the process of using moulds:


1. The mould must be preheated in the process of starting production to prevent the crack of tortoise caused by sudden encounter of hot metal liquid in the cold mould. The more complicated mould can be preheated by spray lamp, liquefied gas, mould temperature machine in good condition, and the simpler mould can be preheated by slow pressure shooting.


2. If the die is equipped with neutron control, attention should be paid to absolutely forbidding the signal line between die casting machine and die to have joint phenomenon. The reason is very clear. In daily production, it is difficult to avoid water on the signal line, or the place where the joint is wrapped is easy to break, thus resulting in short connection with the machine tool. If the signal error is caused, the alarm automatically stops and the signal is disordered. The die top is broken. Cause unnecessary losses. Waterproofing should be paid attention to in the stroke switch.


3. Cleaning up the parting surface of the mould is very laborious and easy to overlook. If the boss starts from a high point and buys a good mould, it will be much easier to work. If the quality of the mould is not good, there will inevitably be flying edges or dirt on the parting surface of the mould in production. The operator should clean these parts regularly and equip a small spade (male) at any time. The division should prepare all the tools for your employees so that they can fight with good guns. If the flash is not cleared in time, the parting surface of the die is easy to collapse, resulting in running aluminium in the production process. Once this happens, no matter how good a die repair expert you have, the possibility of complete repair is very small, not that they do not have the ability. The consequences of running aluminium not only increase the cost of die casting, waste of white aluminium, unstable product quality, especially internal quality, but also increase the difficulty of determining process parameters. The qualified rate will drop a lot. Considering safety, it increases the probability of industrial injury. When handing over, the operator cleans the parting surface of the die thoroughly with kerosene, which not only prevents the die from being extruded, but also opens the exhaust slot blocked by the residue of demoulding agent or other dirt on the die after cleaning, which is conducive to the exhaust of gas in the die cavity during the injection process and improves the product quality. It is advisable to clean the parting surface twice in a group. Let employees develop a good habit.


4. The use of mould cooling system. When the cooling water is used correctly, it not only prolongs the service life of the die, but also improves the production efficiency. In the actual production, we often neglect its importance, and the operators try to save time. If it is too troublesome to take over, they will not take over the cooling water pipe. Some companies even do not want the cooling water in order to save the cost when they customize the moulds, which has resulted in serious consequences. Die materials are generally made of special die steel through various treatments, and the best die steel also has their limits of use, such as temperature. When the die is in use, if the die temperature is too high, it is easy to cause tortoise cracks on the surface of the core early, and some die cracks appear in large areas even before 2000 times. Even in the production of the die, because the temperature of the die is too high, the core of the die changes color, and even reaches more than 400 degrees after measurement. This temperature is easy to crack when the release agent is chilled. The products produced are also easy to deform, pull and stick. The use of demoulding agent can be greatly reduced in the case of using mould cooling water, so that the operator will not use demoulding agent to reduce the temperature of the mould. Its advantages lie in effectively prolonging die life, saving die casting cycle, improving product quality, reducing the occurrence of sticking die, pulling injury and sticking aluminium, and reducing the use of demoulding agent. It can also reduce the loss of ejector rod and core caused by overheating of die temperature.


5. When each team takes over, do spot checks according to the company's mould checklist carefully, find problems and solve them in time so as not to cause unnecessary trouble to themselves.
