Die-casting die is a method of casting liquid die forging, which is completed on a special die-casting die forging machine. Its basic technological process is that the liquid metal is first filled into the cavity of the die at low or high speed, and the die has a movable cavity surface. It is forged under pressure with the cooling process of the liquid metal, which not only eliminates the shrinkage defects of the blank, but also makes the internal structure of the blank reach the broken grains as forged. The comprehensive mechanical properties of the blank have been significantly improved.

Die-casting material, die-casting machine and die are three essential factors in die-casting production. The so-called die-casting process is the process of using these three elements organically to produce qualified castings with good appearance, good internal quality, and conforming to the requirements of patterns or agreements, and even high quality castings steadily, rhythmically and efficiently.

Common Material of Die Casting Die

Non-ferrous alloys are the main alloys used in die castings, while ferrous metals (steel, iron, etc.) are seldom used because of the problems of die materials. Aluminum alloys are widely used in non-ferrous alloy die castings, followed by zinc alloys. Following is a brief introduction to die casting of non-ferrous metals.

Note: 1. Casting temperature is generally measured by the temperature of the liquid metal in the furnace.

(2) The casting temperature of zinc alloy should not exceed 450 C, so as to avoid coarse grains.
